The Way Back Yard has a sound that ranges from folky Americana to stomping bluegrass. They are a Minneapolis band that centers their sound around three-part harmonies, and their name comes from playing backyards throughout the Twin Cities. They draw their inspiration from collaborative singing bands like Crosby, Stills and Nash to create melodies that soar beyond their individual efforts.
