The Hazy Phase formed in the Minneapolis area in the spring of 2020. Starting as a way to beat back the Covid blues, Chris Milinovich was fooling around with a 4-string cigar box guitar. With Dave McDevitt on 6-string guitar and vocals, they started writing songs. Drummer David Quamme joined, and the band developed a unique sound that is part garage rock with a healthy dose of old school blues. Their initial songs were self-released and recorded at The Garage in Burnsville, MN.
