@ Cornerstone Community Church

The Generation II Big Band has been entertaining in ballrooms, hotels, casinos, private parties, nightclubs, convetions and concert halls for over 30 years. The band is an outgrowth of the great swing era Bill Bergeron Band which was a highly successful territory band. Many of the present GII members played in the late Bergeron's Band.

Band leaders Harvey Halpaus and other trumpeter Lance Paulson have a wealth of talent and many years of experience playing both big band and classical music.

Members of the band come from Western Wisconsin, the Twin Cities, Rochester, and Faribault, Minnesota. Rochester clarinetist Dave Townsend specializes in recreating the great sounds of Artie Shaw and Benny Goodman.

Besides swing, the GII Big Band has great latin, Waltzes, 50's rock, ballades and even some old tyme music to fulfill any audience's request.

Some of the bands appearances include: Phipps Center for the Arts, Raddison Hotel in Rochester, Minneapolis, and St Paul and Eau Claire, St James Hotel in Red Wing, and others.

Perhaps the bands most notable appearance was when the band performed and accompanied 2 shows with the internationally famous Mills Brothers at the TB Sheldon Theater in Red Wing.
